Things to Know
For those homes outside of the city limits, we provide curbside trash and recycling services. We will come to your residence and you don’t even have to sort the recyclables out! Saving you time and money.
After you subscribe, you will receive a welcome package via email, providing additional information, including your start date, service date and list of material that can be recycled. Service will typically begin the next week following your subscription date. Your Free To Use trash bin will be delivered on your first day of service.
Place trash and/or recycling materials curbside by 8:00 am on your collection day.
All trash must be securely tied in standard-colored bags purchased from any local retailer (e.g., HEB, Kroger, Target, Walmart). Bags should be sturdy enough to hold the weight of their contents. Materials placed in trash cans will also be collected, provided all items inside are bagged and tied properly.
There is a 35 pound weight limit to each bag of materials, while the total amount of materials to be collected each week shall not be more than 130 gallons and no more than 6 bags.
Our trash & recycling services are for NORMAL household trash and recycling materials and sharing of service with your neighbors is not allowed.
This list is not all encompassing, but is provided as a guideline to non-acceptable materials.
Items NOT allowed to be collected include:
- Construction Debris
- Large & Bulky Items (i.e. concrete, swing set, furniture, appliances, carpet, liquid drums, etc.)
- Hazardous Waste
- Electronic Waste (computers, TV, printers, etc.)
- Lead acid batteries, etc.
Yes, lawn clippings and minor debris is limited to 4 bags per week and weigh no more than 35 pounds per bag. Limbs and small brush items must be securely tied in bundles no larger than 6 inches in diameter and no longer than 4 feet in length.
We provide single stream recycling services. Meaning, our services don’t require you to sort your recycling materials from each other and all of your recycling materials can be contained within the same see through bag! Also, you don’t have to remember which week to place your recycling materials out for collections, as we collect them each week! No storing up recycling materials for two weeks and having to remember your week of collection.
While other providers accept plastics #1-2, BV Trash Valet & Recycling accepts Plastics #1-7, making a considerably larger impact on our local environment. However, like our competition, we don’t accept Styrofoam products including “peanuts” or coat hangers as recycling materials.
In addition to Plastics #1-7, we accept the following items for recycling:
- Paper & Newspaper (Keep paper/newspaper dry and clean)
- Junk Mail
- Cardboard (Flatten all cardboard)
- Bottles & Jars (Rinse containers & remove lids)
- Cans (Crush and rinse cans)
- All Plastics
- Magazines
DON’T FORGET:
- Please use clear bags so we can see the contents of the bag.
- No food waste or hazardous material can be accepted!!
- All materials can be commingled, that means no sorting.

Recycling materials can all be co-mingled and contained within see through bags. You can purchase any size or tinted bag at any local retailer, such as: HEB, Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. where you purchase your colored trash bags. If recycling materials are not contained within see through bags, or comply with our recycling guidelines, then such materials will be treated as trash instead of recycling materials.
For residential trash and recycling customers, we provide the first 64-gallon maroon bin at no cost. Additional high-quality, durable, wheeled bins can be purchased to meet extra disposal needs. Designed for easy maneuverability, these sturdy maroon bins roll smoothly over various terrains.
Yes, in addition to the 64-gallon maroon bin that we provide for free for you to use for the duration of your services with us. You can use your own bin to hold any extra bags that do not fit in our 64-gallon bin, up to 128 gallons of trash per week.
